Dr. Charles Saltzman

Dr. Charles Saltzman is the LS Peery MD Presidential Endowed Professorship of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah. His work has contributed to the development of ankle fusion and replacement techniques, as well as innovations in ankle, hindfoot arthroscopy, and forefoot care. Dr. Saltzman is Editor in Chief of Foot & Ankle International and Foot & Ankle Orthopaedics, has previously co-Edited two editions of "Mann's Surgery of Foot and Ankle."

He has held several leadership positions, including President of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, President  of the International Federation of Foot and Ankle Societies, President  of the Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons, and as a Director and  Vice President of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He was Chair of the University of Utah's Department of Orthopaedics from 2005 to 2021.


 

Associate Professor Harvinder Bedi

After being accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2002, Associate Professor Harvinder undertook a subspecialty fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, UK, under Mr. Paul Cooke, past president of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society (BOFAS).

Between 2003 and 2005, Harvinder also completed a Master of Public Health degree through Monash University, with a particular interest in injury prevention. He currently works at Box Hill Hospital where he is involved in the management of traumatic and elective conditions. In the private setting, his current main interests include MIS and arthroscopic procedures as well as a focus on sporting injuries. Harvinder maintains a strong focus on research, evidence based practice and the training of future local and international surgeons and is the current head of the Australian orthopaedic court of examiners. 

Outside of work, his interests include cricket, golf, food, wine and trying to be heard amongst his family of 4 children.
