Welcome to the 2025 scientific meeting of the New Zealand Society for Surgery of the Hand. The meeting will take place on Sunday 24th August 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Queenstown.

Due to seismic strengthening works at QT Queenstown, this meeting will now be held at Hilton Hotel.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Vaikunthan Rajaratnam from Singapore has agreed to be our guest speaker at this meeting in person. This is an exciting opportunity to hear from an experienced surgeon, academic, and innovator with over 40 years of expertise in hand surgery, medical education, and clinical practice. He is recognised for his work in peripheral nerve surgery.

We are also privileged that he has agreed to add on an extra day of AI before the meeting and comes at a preferential rate for NZSSH attendees. As a UNESCO Chair partner, Dr Rajaratnam has been instrumental in developing AI training programmes for professionals across disciplines. His unique approach combines clinical insight, technological innovation, and education, offering valuable perspectives on the future of hand surgery and healthcare - click here for more details on this workshop.

This meeting follows directly on from NZAPS annual conference and we warmly welcome our plastic surgical colleagues to enjoy collaborations and shared learning experiences.

We hope you can join us for winter festivities in Queenstown and look forward to seeing you all in August 2025.
