Welcome to the 2024 scientific meeting of the New Zealand Society for Surgery of the Hand. The meeting will take place from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th August 2024 at the beautiful Shangri-La Yanuca Island in Fiji.
We are pleased to announce that Professor PC Ho from Hong Kong, and Professor Michael Tonkin from Australia have agreed to be our guest speakers at this meeting in person.
We are currently going through a time of significant change in our health sector organisation and management, and we have had to navigate a global pandemic in recent years. These stressors on the health system take their toll on surgeons and our hand therapy colleagues. With this in mind, our meeting will provide not only strong scientific content to benefit our patients, but also a focus on clinician wellbeing and work life balance, with some musings on philosophy.
Take the opportunity to rejuvenate yourself, learn with colleagues, and experience the activities and warm hospitality that Fiji offers. We look forward to seeing you all in August 2024.
