Welcome to the New Zealand Society for Surgery of the Hand Meeting 2026.
This meeting embraces the theme of Innovation and Collaboration, reflected in the outstanding line-up of guest speakers who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to share.
We are delighted to welcome Professor Eugene Ek, an academic orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgeon from Melbourne, specialising in arthroscopic and complex reconstructive surgery of the hand, elbow, and shoulder; Associate Professor David McCombe, a Melbourne-based Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990; and Alison Taylor, a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) since 1996, Kinesio Instructor since 2011, and advanced NDT certified upper extremity specialist.
In the spirit of collaboration, we also extend a warm invitation to Plastic Surgeons and Hand Therapists to join us in strengthening communication and fostering professional connections through a shared academic and social program.
There will be something for everyone, as national and international faculty, including hand therapists, plastic surgeons, and orthopaedic surgeons come together to discuss and debate a wide range of topics, from everyday clinical practice to cutting-edge subspecialty innovations.
Active participation is encouraged, your insights and experiences will enrich the conversation and help drive the continued evolution of our field.
